How To Make CBD Pistachio And Chocolate Burfi With A Cardamom And Ginger Twist

With the CBD (Cannabidiol) now becoming mainstream and the edibles market also taking customers by storm, we thought why not just go ahead and make the Worlds first ever CBD Barfi?

For those that may not know, barfi originates from India and is a type of sweet Indian dish (mithai) made from a thick milk base.

This is the recipe for the delicious Pistachio and Chocolate Burfi, with that addition of cardamom, ginger and of course Cannabidiol.  With this recipe twist, you get the relaxing aphrodisiac properties of the chocolate, digestive aid from cardamom, pain easing from ginger and the many health benefits of Cannabidiol.

Milk Powder 200g
Double Cream 150ml
Butter/Ghee 1 Tablespoon
Ground Nutmeg 1 Teaspoon
Chopped Pistachio Nuts 55g
Condensed Milk 397g
Dark Chocolate 100g
Cardamom Powder 1 Teaspoon
Diced Crystallised Ginger 2 Teaspoons
CBD Oil 500mg 10ml
Gold Leaf

1. Mix the milk powder and double cream into a thick rough paste in a bowl.
2. Heat the butter and add the nutmeg and pistachio, until toasted.
3. Add the cream milk mixture and condensed milk to the pistachio mix.  Stir until mixture starts to come away from the sides.
4. Pour the mixture into a non-stick tray evenly.
5. Melt the chocolate in a bowl under a water bath in a pan on low heat.  Add the cardamom, diced crystallised ginger and CBD oil, then mix until all is well blended.
6. Layer the melted chocolate blend on top of the barfi base in the tray.
7. Decorate with gold leaf.
8. Let the barfi cool for 1 hour, or cool for 30 minutes and refrigerate for the remaining 30 minutes.
9. Cut into squares and enjoy!
